Down To The River to Pray-Banjo TAB and Video

Here is a “Down to The River To Pray” Banjo arrangement.  This version is in the key of E just like the version you hear in the “O Brother Where Art Thou Movie.”  I wanted to make an arrangement where the student could play along with that recording.  It requires no retuning or capo; you don’t even need to adjust the fifth string because we don’t play it with the given roll patterns.

You’ll need to know your three basic major chord shapes and a few basic rolls like forward/forward-reverse.

The TAB and Instructional Video where I break down all of the fingerings (right and left hands) is located here.  (Right hand rolls appear onscreen in numerical form in a readable yellow color.  Videos recorded in HD and with a high-quality condenser mic)
