Big Sciota Banjo TAB

This 5-string banjo tab to Big Sciota for the intermediate+ player.

It uses Single-string and melodic-style techniques.  This arrangement will present a nice challenge as it has everything but the kitchen sink 🙂

This popular fiddle tune is heard in both bluegrass and old-time music circles.  Around here, this is a bluegrass jam session favorite.  I will let you know, that the old-time version is slightly different than the bluegrass version (the Eminor and C chords are reversed in the 2nd part)

My tab is the BLUEGRASS version.

“Big Sciota” is of course referring to a river in Ohio.
