Greensleeves Banjo TAB
Greensleeves 5-string banjo TAB:
In this version of Greensleeves (Sometimes called “What Child is This”), I use the key of Dminor with the 5th string capo’d or tuned up to A. There is a slow version and a faster more roll based version as shown in the video. You get BOTH with this download in pdf format.
This arranged can be found in my Christmas Banjo Songbook which can be purchased over on my ETSY STORE
Sorry about the extra step, this just gives more payment options to everyone (not everyone has paypal!)
Some cool Greensleeves history:
There is a rumor that it was composed by Henry the 8th. However, it’s beginnings most likely lie in the Elizabethan era. We know by the late 1600’s, the tune was found in Christmas carol collections. One of the most famous examples of the tunes uses is in 1865 by William Chatterton Dix in “What Child is This?”
