Left Hand Exercise #4 For Banjo

Installment #4 in my series of left-hand exercises for 5-string banjo. Visit exercise #3 if you haven’t already seen it. This banjo exercise really develops the dexterity of your pinky finger .

You’ll begin with your 1st finger and then the 3rd finger. Next, you’ll use the 2nd, and finally the pinky. You can make it more challenging by adding pull-offs or even hammer-ons.

Please pay attention to how much you are moving your fingers.  Try moving them as little as possible.  Smaller motions = faster fingers.  We don’t want the fingers to ever break the plane of the fingerboard, that’ll seriously slow you down.
